Here is a list of frequently asked questions
1. How do you view an entire album in Webshots if someone posts the link to just one of the pics ?
Here is the short
answer: it is not always possible.
But here is how it works when it does. If the picture has a
"long" name, say
http://image57.webshots.com/657/4/85/11/2806485110094114705ZZinOh_fs.jpg
you erase the last _fs.jpg or _ph.pg, replace the numbers
between the slashes with the word photo,
and the first image57 (or whatever it is) by community. For the
above example, this gives,
http://community.webshots.com/photo/2806485110094114705ZZinOh
However, for a picture with a "short" name, like
http://image09.webshots.com/9/8/85/83/123588583rPJFXG_fs.jpg
this will not work: the album link is
http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/1123588583053322502rPJFXG
and you see that there are additional digits added to the name
of the picture. These digits cannot be guessed or calculated
from the picture name; they depend not on the picture or album,
but on the user - and if you knew the user, you wouldn't need to
do all these acrobatics anyway.

2. Is there an add-on for Firefox , to see the pics in Webshots, can u help me!! please????????
If you want to stop
the refer header to be sent you don't need an add-on for Firefox.
Open a new tab and in the address bar enter "about:config"
without the quotes.
then in the filter type "sendRef" and you will be left with one
row in the list. Set that value to zero which means turn it off.
Then referral header will not be sent to any site and therefore
the Webshots blocking of links from non webshot sites will not
work.

3. A Suggestion
Just a suggestion for
viewing... this is how I've done it for a while... I have my
browser set up so when I hold down the apple button and click on
a link (may be for control for pc) that the a new new tab
starts, but I stay on my current page (so your not switching
screens constantly). so I will click down a list of links like
that, starting multiple new tabs and then I will go through and
click the address and click enter (to reload) to view the pics...
I've found this to be the fastest way to look at the links

4. How to
download Photobucket videos
Photobucket does not empower users
to download videos hosted on their site. That sucks. This is how
to download a Photobucket video without ever having to leave
Photobucket.
Example video link:

Remove:
?action=view¤t=
Final url:
http://s202.photobucket.com/albums/aa105/GasconFamily/MOV00037-1.flv
Hit enter and you will be prompted by your browser to save.
4. How do I share my Rapidshare files on the board?
I can tell you what I did-
I used imagegrabber to make the previews=
http://download2.videohelp.com/download/ImageGrabberII.zip
I uploaded the previews to www.imagevenue.com/
Then I created a rar of the folder (you can use zips too, same
thing pretty much). I used winrar for that.

Rapidshare has a free utility for uploading and downloading
files-
http://rapidshare.com/rsm.html. That's
what I used to upload them to my account. I have a premium
account, so I save my username and password in there and it does
the rest.
If you have more specific questions about posting, I'd be more
than happy to help, but the last part... you're on your own
there ;)
